DTN COMMENTS:  A light trade is starting to develop in parts of 
the South at $186, $1 higher than last week's weighted averages. 
The North remains relatively quiet at this point, with just a few 
bids on the table in parts of Nebraska. Some asking prices remain 
firm around $187 in the South, and $300 in the North. 

Beef cutouts are higher at midday (choice 302.36 +2.56, select 
287.14 +3.85) with light to moderate box movement (47.44 lds of 
choice cuts, 10.51 lds of select cuts, 0.00 lds of trim, and 15.62 
lds of ground). Live cattle futures near the top of the noon hour 
are mixed, mostly higher, while feeder issues are mostly modestly 
to sharply higher.
